Our Review Methodology

How We Evaluate GLP-1 Weight Loss Programs

At Weight Loss Reviews USA, every program we feature has been evaluated against a consistent, transparent framework. We do not accept payment for rankings or recommendations. Our methodology is published here so you can evaluate it yourself.

Our Six-Point Evaluation Framework

1. Medical Supervision Quality

We assess whether the platform employs licensed US healthcare providers who conduct genuine clinical evaluations — not rubber-stamp questionnaire approvals. We look for board-certified physicians or nurse practitioners, live telehealth consultation options, ongoing provider access, and meaningful follow-up care beyond the initial prescription.

2. Medication Authenticity & Safety

We verify whether medications are dispensed by licensed, accredited US compounding pharmacies or FDA-registered manufacturers. We check for LegitScript certification, USP compliance, and transparent disclosure of whether medications are FDA-approved brand-name products or compounded alternatives containing the same active ingredients.

3. Pricing Transparency

We evaluate whether all costs are clearly disclosed before enrollment — including consultation fees, medication costs, shipping, and any dose-escalation pricing changes. We flag platforms that advertise introductory prices without clearly disclosing ongoing monthly costs at higher doses.

4. Insurance Navigation Support

We assess whether the platform actively assists patients in navigating insurance coverage for brand-name GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound — including prior authorization submission and insurance appeals on the patient’s behalf.

5. Ongoing Clinical Support

We evaluate the quality and accessibility of ongoing care — including provider response times, frequency of clinical check-ins, dosage adjustment protocols, side effect management support, and whether 24/7 messaging access is genuinely available.

6. Real Patient Feedback

We cross-reference independent patient reviews from Trustpilot, Reddit, Google Reviews, and the Better Business Bureau. We weigh review volume, recency, and verified status — and we note patterns in complaints related to billing, cancellation, medication quality, and customer service.

What We Do Not Do

We do not accept payment from providers in exchange for higher rankings or more favorable reviews. We do not allow affiliate relationships to influence our editorial conclusions. Programs that do not meet our clinical standards do not appear on this site regardless of commission rates.

How We Stay Current

The GLP-1 telehealth market changes rapidly. We update our reviews when providers change their pricing, medication offerings, state availability, or clinical protocols. All reviews display a “Last Updated” date so you can verify the currency of the information.

Affiliate Disclosure

Weight Loss Reviews USA participates in affiliate programs. When you click a link to a provider and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This revenue supports our independent research operation. Our rankings and recommendations are determined solely by our six-point evaluation framework — not by commission rates.
